Comprehensive / Oral Exam Policy

SIBBC&S reserves the right and authority to conduct both the written Comprehensive exam and Oral exam for different levels at B.Th., M.Div., and M.Th.

Areas of Study

Students are expected to prepare from three different areas of discipline, such as Systematic Theology, Biblical Studies, and Church History, Religion, and Missions.

Exit Program

While comprehensive/oral exams are the culmination of the entire course of the respective degree programs, it is a standalone exit program requiring the students to pass both exams to qualify for graduation.

Passing Grade

Students are required to score a minimum of 70% to qualify for graduation.

Re-exam

While B.Th. students are allowed to take a re-examination in case of failure on the first attempt, seminary students (M.Div. and M.Th.) do not have the provision for a re-examination within the current academic year. In such cases, students will be given a second opportunity in the following academic year.

Re-exam Fee

Re-exam fee applies. (Refer to the Re-Exam Policy.)
