Re-Exam Policy

Incomplete Grades

Students who achieve passing marks but fail to complete all required coursework will receive an "Incomplete" grade. The final grade will be withheld until all outstanding requirements are fulfilled within the stipulated timeframe.

Failing Grades

  • A score between 0–59 in any course will result in an "F" (Fail) grade for B.Th, MABT, M.Div, and M.Th.
  • A score between 0–49 in any course will result in an "F" (Fail) grade for the Dip. Theology.

Eligibility for Re-Examination

  1. Students who receive an "F" in up to two subjects are eligible to apply for a re-examination.
  2. Students failing in more than two subjects are not eligible for re-examination and must adhere to the academic progression policies outlined below.

Re-Examination Schedule for Non-Graduating Students

  • First Semester Failures: Eligible students must undertake re-examinations for the failed subjects before the end of the following semester.
  • Second Semester Failures: Eligible students must complete re-examinations for the failed subjects in the first week of June every year.

Academic Progression Based on Number of Failures

  • Failure in Three Subjects: Students must retake all three failed courses in the subsequent semester while continuing with their other courses. These courses must be completed and passed before the end of the next semester to be eligible for promotion.
  • Failure in Four or More Subjects: Students are required to repeat the entire semester. Promotion to the next academic year is contingent upon successful completion of the repeated semester.

Re-Examination Policy for Graduating Students

  • Failure in Up to Two Subjects: Graduating students who fail in up to two subjects during their final semester are granted one opportunity to take a re-examination.
  • Failure in Three or More Subjects: Graduating students who fail in three or more subjects during their final semester are not eligible for immediate graduation. They must return in the following academic year to retake the failed subjects. Upon successful completion, they will then qualify for graduation.

Re-Examination Notification and Responsibility

All graduating classes will have one chance for a re-examination. Notifications and information regarding re-examinations will be provided by the Academic Dean or Head of Department (HoD).

It is the student's responsibility to confirm their re-examination schedule with the respective subject teacher before the exam date. Queries or complaints on the day of the re-examination or thereafter will not be entertained.

Handling of Complaints and Confusions

Complaints or confusions arising due to student negligence will not be addressed at the last moment before graduation. Students are advised to resolve any issues or concerns as early as possible to avoid complications.

Re-Examination Fees

  1. Eligible students for re-exam must pay the re-exam fee as follows:
