Students' Cell Phone Policy
Students are allowed to use cell phones for certain concerns:
- Filial relation: To be able to relate to their family members.
- Maintenance purpose: To maintain their electronic devices from damage.
- Online banking: To be accessible to online banking.
- Educational purpose: To use it as a reference for reading/writing assignments prescribed by the concerned Faculty.
As such, the following rules are mandated for students at SIBBC&S:

Dip.Th and B.Th students are allowed to use cell phones only on the weekends from Friday 4:30 pm till Sunday 9:30 pm.

Dip.Th and B.Th students may use a phone with proper permission from the respective warden and Matron for the purpose of Banking, Hospital, and Fee payment to the college office.

Seminary students (Diploma, M.Div) are allowed to use cell phones from 4:30 pm – 10:30 pm on weekdays (Monday to Friday) with the exceptions of the rules below.
Do not use cell phones during the following hours:
Hours Activity 5:40 am – 6:10 am Dorm devotion 8:00 am – 1:00 pm Chapel & Class Hours 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm Library Hours (except holidays) 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm Dorm Service 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm Library Hours (except holidays) 9:45 pm – 10:15 pm Dorm devotion 10:30 pm – 5:30 am Resting hours (7 hours required) -
Seminary students (MABT, M.Div) can use cell phones for the full day on the weekend (Saturday & Sunday) except for the rules below.
Do not use cell phones during the following hours:

Master of Theology (M.Th.) students are allowed to use cell phones every day only in their respective dorms, with the exception of specific schedules stipulated.
General Rules
- Students can use cell phones only in their respective rooms in the dormitory.
- Students can use their cell phones when permitted to go outside the campus on Saturday or Sunday.
- Do not play music with a loudspeaker on your phone in the dorm.
- No texting or calling between male and female students.
- No exchange of any items related to the cell phone between students.
- The College is not responsible for the damage or loss of students' cell phones.
- Dorm supervisors and teachers have the right to confiscate cell phones anytime if the students violate the given rules.
- Exceptions may be made by the authority to allow the students to use a cell phone in the classroom for online classes and other specific requirements.
- Punishment for violation of the cell phone policy is hereby notified. Students found violating the rules will invite the following consequences:
- First-time violation: Cell phones will be confiscated for 7 days.
- Second time: Cell phones will be confiscated for a semester or its equivalent.
- Third time: Cell phones will be confiscated permanently and will not be returned.
